Stagno di Cabras

With an extension of over 2200 hectares, the Cabras Pond
represents one of the most important wetlands in Europe. Its
incredible biodiversity makes it a unique place, and the presence of
pink flamingos, cormorants, ducks, peregrine falcons, and royal
seagulls attracts birdwatching enthusiasts and hikers.
The pond’s fishy waters have always characterized the economy
and uses of the local population among whose most important
examples we can certainly mention that of the production of
12
mullet roe. The area has been equipped with boardwalks and
nature trails that allow people to comfortably observe the beauty
of the surrounding pond.
