Tharros

The city of Tharros was founded in the late 8th century B.C. or in
the 7th century B.C. by Phoenician populations in an area
already frequented during the Nuragic period. Within the city’s
perimeter, there are also the remains of a protohistoric village,
the base of a Nuragic monument at the foot of the Spanish tower
on the hill of San Giovanni, and two other Nuraghe structures
located on Capo San Marco and near the Sa Naedda cove.
It is a must-visit if you are staying on the Sinis Peninsula.
